Our guests at this seminar will be:

ELAINE FEINSTEIN author of Ted Hughes, the Life of a Poet and herself a distinguished poet as well as novelist, playwright, biographer and translator. She is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature and her most recent poetry collection is Talking to the Dead (2007).

DANIEL WEISSBORT editor of Ted Hughes: Selected Translations and who in 1965 founded with Ted Hughes the journal Modern Poetry in Translation. He is Professor Emeritus of English and Comparative Literature at the University of Iowa and Honorary Professor in the Centre for Translation and Comparative Cultural Studies at the University of Warwick.

DAVID HARSENT has published nine collections of poetry and is also a novelist and playwright. In the theatre he has collaborated with a number of composers most often with Harrison Birtwistle. His Selected Poems, 1969-2005 was published in 2007.

The seminar will run from 10.30 to 1.30.
